The Challenge
When we began working with this personal injury firm, it was generating approximately 9-10 enquiries per month through its own website.
Like many firms operating within personal injury, a significant proportion of new work was being generated through external sources, including claims management companies.
Purchased referrals can provide valuable work, but the firm wanted greater control over its own pipeline and a stronger source of direct enquiries.
The objective was to reduce reliance on claims management companies and to build an internal source of work and improve the firm’s own brand visibility and reputation.
What We Did
BSD Legal Marketing developed a combined PPC, SEO and AI search optimisation strategy focused on the types of personal injury work the firm actually wanted to generate.
PPC allowed us to target people demonstrating immediate intent, while the organic strategy concentrated on strengthening the firm’s visibility for relevant personal injury searches.
We developed and optimised website content around the questions potential clients were asking, improved the site’s search presence and continued adapting the strategy as search behaviour changed.
More recently, this has included considering how the firm’s content performs within AI-generated search results as well as traditional Google search.
The focus throughout has been on generating enquiries directly through the firm’s own website rather than simply increasing traffic.
The Result
The firm has gone from receiving approximately 9 to 10 website enquiries per month to regularly generating more than 50.
That’s an increase of at least 400% in monthly website enquiries.
More importantly, the firm has developed a much stronger direct source of new business, reducing the extent to which it needs to depend on purchased referrals and CMC relationships.
The firm can still use external lead sources where they make commercial sense, but they now sit alongside a marketing channel the firm has developed for itself.
